STORY

Bookish is a neighborhood bookstore in an historic building in Malakoff, Texas that retails a wide range of new and gently used books. This includes fiction, non-fiction, business, science, children's, hobbies, collecting, and other types of books.

Bookish is an IRS approved not for profit with the mission of promoting reading and literacy in the community by connecting people with books and authors.   Bookish partners with local food banks, schools and other community groups to provide them with books.  (We accept donations of new and used books - excluding recipe books, dictionaries and encyclopedias)

Bookish provides a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere to encourage reading and gathering.

Bookish is owned by executive director, Jen Sherman, who is a life long reader and book lover. Jen has been a book reviewer and blogger for the last 2 years on her Instagram page, The Bookish Blonde.
